[To be fair, back in 1977 when that figure was set, the Internet was just an experiment and no one could have foreseen the explosive growth of the World Wide Web. In hindsight, with 7 billion people on the planet, the math becomes painfully obvious.] But as we move towards the Internet of Things (IoT), the one element that is absolutely critical is...well...the Internet.
