Faycal Benayad-Cherif | Business Manager | ALLTEC GmbH FOBA UDI Laser Marking
Dr. Faycal Benayad-Cherif is Business Manager at FOBA Laser, a Danaher Company based in northern Germany. He has more than 25 years of experience in the innovation, development and management of laser-based products. He has developed laser-based imaging solutions and vision technologies that offer highly innovative ways to improve production and traceability processes using laser technology.

Dr. Benayad-Cherif holds a PhD. in Biomechanics and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University in Boston (USA. He is a recognized speaker in the automotive and medical industries, author of several technical publications and holds multiple US and international patents on robotics, lasers and 2D/3D imaging technology. He regularly speaks at international conferences worldwide.

Christian Söhner | Global Vertical Manager Medical | ALLTEC GmbH FOBA UDI Laser Marking
Christian Söhner is FOBA’s Global Vertical Manager Medical and responsible for the development of customer relations in the field of laser marking on medical products. After his business degree at the University of Technology Dresden, he gained 15 years of profound experience in the medical industry, while working for Abbott, BrainLAB, Stryker and Dentsply and others. Christian Söhner is networking with official agencies and notified bodies (AIM DPM, ministries, solution partner of GS1, HIBC, Medagent, TÜV Süd, BSI, DQS, BVMED, SWISSMEDTECH, EPRD, SIRIS, NJR, Orthoload Charité etc.) and is an expert for the regulatory compliance and the technical implementation of UDI-marking on medical instruments and implants.
