The key functionality of OpsSmart® application is provisioning forward and backward traceability across a business supply chain. OpsSmart® accomplishes this key function by generating a graphical trace map of the specific business process as seen at a certain point-in-time for a given business process. The trace can then be efficiently traversed backwards or forwards no-linearly towards any sequential, adjacent, connected, or unconnected business process or activity as long as some connecting data feature can link these processes. This trace traversing function can be performed as far back as the beginning of the business process information or as forward as the end of the last process in the chain. OpsSmart® is only limited by the amount and level of data that has been captured, catalogued, and preserved as part of the initial business process configuration and setup.
